Leaf in the Wind

‘Walk me over to the Ferris wheel. Let me be on top of the world and touch the skies. ‘

It is my revenge from God for not giving me wings.

You silly little girl.

‘Machines are mindless things. Working Round the clock tirelessly.’

‘We can’t be like machines.’ ‘We burn out, and we need breaks’.

Always made me wonder, that comparison of machines and their creator.

‘Machines need a break too, don’t they. A microprocessor needs cooling or else it would burn itself out.’

I know you don’t like it when I break your mysteries. It is your fault, though. You introduced me to all those fairy tales.

‘Let us lie beneath the stars and let the night take its course.

Let us defy life. Mystery or not’.

Oh, you silly little girl.

A shake of head followed.
