Abandon

Let us ride the wind.

Through the fields of our desire.

You, me, and the birds

Before the sun sets

Let us be at the mercy of our love

It’s a cruel companion, I know.

Love…

Let us not think too much for now, though.

Come, make life a bittersweet tale.

Be remembered, or forgotten

Blaze like burning embers,

or grow cold like stone

and be left in the corridors…

Half baked, incomplete sculptures

carved by the mercenary we call time

Time…

It will win, surely, eventually

but, hey…

Come, clutching the rain drops in our hands

Let us give it a scare worth its pride.
