Blood Tales and Sisterhood

White dress red stains
Walk behind me keep watch
The boy next door must not see

Small closet full of clothes
Hide the packets stash away
These cotton pads for eternity

Cover the bed with plastic sheets
Easier to wash away the ‘dirt’
We can do it, you and me

Wear a darker color to prom
Don’t dance too much
They’ll know you bleed

Not too long on bathroom breaks
Cramps will go chin up sit up
Don’t let it dampen your productivity

Just a time of the month
Nothing special dear old girl
Focus on feeding your family

Books of tales inked in blood
So many words in a cage
All just waiting to be set free
