Bid Him Farewell

‘Yesterday, there was a murder. A day before yesterday, there was a bomb-blast. A day before the day before yesterday, there was a murder. A day before the day before the day before yesterday, there was a bomb-blast. Today, there are yet more killings, violence, suicide bombings, immorality, hatred, oppression, injustice, malevolence, tyranny…tomorrow, there’ll be…huh…I don’t know. It’s been enough. My sister – humanity – has already left. It’s time for me now…good-,’ said Peace disbelievingly before being interrupted by Joseph, ‘But sir, I wish if you could help me figuring out what’s the fault of those who play no part in this corruption and those who only intend to have inner you.’

‘There is, still hope Joseph…’

‘I dread that I fail to understand in the least what you said’, complained Joseph.

Peace exhorted, ‘While it is unavoidable for me not to leave, you can still bring me back. From the depths of hearts to the farthest corners of this world, you could feel me again, as evident as I am not now.’

‘I dare ask how, sir,’ said Joseph with hopeful perplexity glistening in his eyes.

‘Islam.’

‘How to follow and understand that?’

‘Qur’an.’

‘How that sir?’

‘Muhammad’, was the reply.

With pearly trails of tears giggling on his face, Joseph bade, ‘Goodbye, sir!’
