There was a time, long forgotten by the denizens of the internet, who’s attention span is only slightly longer than a guppy’s, when the phenomenon of cyber Fraandships took the online world by storm. Once the subject of several thousand derisive statuses, memes, a few novels and movies, it has gone the way of every major internet trend it, where they followers of it are not accepted but begrudgingly allowed to exist in their own niche, never to be allowed in the land of kitten images and pseudo-intellectual statuses. Let us first begin with understanding the concept of these fraandships:

People, mainly belonging to the middle or lower class, brown, male, raised from birth in a society that frowns upon the interaction of unmarried male and female members and also regards the expression of oneself a mortal sin, gain access to a platform which they believe is one where can act as they want and not face the public censorship they have to face everyday.

So what do they do? What the more daring of us would do in those same circumstances.
They send friend requests to every second person/ female, identical to a five year old child admitted to a new school, who, unfettered by the chains of social behavioural rules, runs around and interacts with every other person there, in the hopes of finding companionship. To say that the intent of the Fraands is inherently perverted would be an unfair allegation and the reason why it’s so is that, even before they have sent the friend request or their first message, the chances of their meeting the people they wish to interact are extremely slim and, so, to say that they do this so in order to meet these people is false. Their motives are far more complex. The main motive behind it isn’t to find
